CSC prioritizes community-engaged research at every stage, including recruitment, data collection, analysis, and dissemination. By utilizing mixed methods, especially qualitative research, CSC addresses topics like reproductive health, social determinants of health, health disparities, and health equity. This approach ensures comprehensive and inclusive research that truly reflects community needs and perspectives. 

Engaging with communities is the foundation of CSC, inspired by Indya’s early public health work at Richmond health fairs, where she learned the importance of community insights. CSC aims to extend its community engagement strategies beyond public health to include local businesses, non-profits, and for-profit sectors. This holistic approach ensures that diverse community needs and expertise are recognized and addressed. 

CSC excels in process and outcome evaluation through mixed methods research and community engagement. Our strength lies in assessing programs for knowledge gained, effectiveness, and community acceptability, ensuring the community remains central.
